The aptly named Narrowbar Café opened in 2005 and is situated in the middle of Penrith, a busy market town on the edge of the Lake District. Owner, Jo Hulme runs the café with her team of dedicated staff.
The Narrowbar strives to provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere where customers can relax and enjoy the delicious home-made cakes and ‘the best cappuccino in town’. A quote taken from the visitor’s book describes the café as ‘an oasis in a desert’!
If it’s a more substantial feed your after then choose from the extensive breakfast or lunch menu. The menu is designed to be varied to cater to each customer, the emphasis being on good quality, tasty food.
Wifi is available throughout the café enabling you to bring along your laptop and relax in the comfy seating area upstairs or perhaps conduct a business meeting over lunch. The café also houses art by local artists which is available to buy straight off the walls!
For all you music lovers out there, check out the events page for forthcoming music nights. The artists are generally local and range from solo performers to small bands. A fully stocked bar is available and a selection of wines both new & old worlds.
